Mary J. Blige Hit With $901,000 Tax Lien

As the saying goes, "More money, more problems," which is exactly what Mary J. Blige is facing after being hit with a $900,000 tax lien.

According to official documents obtained by TMZ, the songstress owes $901,769.65 in back taxes to New Jersey as her financial woes continue.

This is not the first time Mary J has faced money troubles. Blige was sued earlier this month for allegedly defaulting on a $500,000 bank loan. Last year, she was sued for doing the same on a $2.2 million bank loan and her charity was hit with a lawsuit for not paying back a $250,000 loan.

How to Overcome Fear by Living Life as a Remarkable Experiment

All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. So what if you end up a little off course, or stumble? So what if you actually fall? You will get up, dust yourself off, and you will never again be so afraid of taking a tumble.

Life ExperimentsThere’s nothing that will stop us in our tracks faster than fear. Fear of failure, fear of change, ridicule, rejection; whatever the form, fear is undeniably the most common limiting emotion.

But what if we were able to reframe our fears; to shift away from “all or nothing” / “fail or succeed” thinking and learn to love life as a series of remarkable experiments?

The beauty of thinking of life as a series of big and small experiments is that when we experiment we are far more willing to take calculated risks and to acknowledge failure. After all, that’s what experiments are all about: discovery and growth.
I haven’t failed. I’ve found 10,000 ways that don’t work. ~Thomas Edison

The amazing thing is, no matter what happens during an experiment, as long as you learn something, you can consider the experiment a success – simply because it got results. Even if something doesn’t work, it’s okay because you have still gained valuable information to help you create a new experiment that is more likely to bring you closer to your goal, or possibly even achieve a different, far more exciting outcome.
The key to living an experiment-driven life is to never take things for granted – to keep asking the “how can this be done better” questions.

Since our focus is to overcome fear, let’s take a look at how we might experiment with a topic many people avoid like the plague – public speaking.

Here’s an example of a 3 simple step process you might follow:

The question: What experiment can you perform to challenge your fear of public speaking?

Determine what specific action you can take to conduct a short-term experiment: One option might be to enroll in a public speaking course, and another would be to join Toastmasters. Since the idea of an experiment is to have a conclusion at which point you can analyze the data, enrolling in the public speaking course is a better fit because you will have predetermined end date to work with.

Review what you learned from your experiment: For example, what challenged you most about the course? What could you have done better? What was your greatest strength? Your greatest weakness? Did you learn any new strategies to help you overcome your discomfort that you can continue to practice and master over time? (Keeping a journal during your experiments will make this part of the process so much easier to revisit your experiences and feelings throughout the process.)

Some experiments will help lay the foundation for creating ongoing habits, while others won’t amount to much more than a learning experience, but only you can judge the results. In other words, take what works, and let go of what doesn’t.

After 19 Years Super New Champion of CFA

Home based Sunday Mba’s goal gave the Super Eagles a deserved 1-0, 40 minutes into the first half.
It was an opportunist goal by Mba and his second of the tournament, having struck a superb match-winner in the 2-1 quarter-final defeat of pre-tournament title favourites Ivory Coast.
Among the rewards for the Super Eagles is a $1.5 million first prize and a place at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil, where they will face world and European champions Spain, Tahiti and Uruguay.
It was a result that took winning coach Stephen Keshi into the record books as he equalled the feat of late Egyptian Mahmoud El Gohary by winning gold medals as a player and a coach.
The dominant Super Eagles made the breakthrough just before half-time when Mba clipped the ball over Mohamed Koffi and then volleyed into the far corner.
Burkina Faso almost equalised when Wilfried Sanou forced a fingertip save from goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.
Ahmed Musa slipped as he looked set to score and Victor Moses almost poked home as Nigeria eased to victory.
It was a win that was fully deserved as Nigeria comfortably beat a tired-looking Burkina Faso, who struggled to make an impact in their maiden final appearance.
The match was also the first time for 21 years that a black African coach has won the cup – Cote d’Ivoire’s Yeo Martial was the last to do so in 1992.
After Nigeria and Burkina Faso played out a 1-1 draw in their group match early on in the competition, the Super Eagles had grown in stature and went into the game as favourites
Reacting to the victory, the winning coach Stephen Keshi, stated that “winning this is mainly for my nation – when I came on board a year and a half ago my dream ws to make all Nigerians happy, and to construct a great Nigerian team, We are not there yet, it’s still in process.
“You don’t want to know what was going through my head (in the final five minutes)! To represent Africa in Brazil at the Confed Cup is an honour for Nigeria.”

5 Things To Stop Doing And Start Doing For Yourself

If everything seems under control , you're just not going fast enough which mean you have some thing you're doing correctly or wrongly.

This might help

5 Things to Stop Doing

1.  Stop stalling and being lazy.

You can’t build a good reputation or a successful way of life based on what you could do or might do someday.  The quality of your life is in direct proportion to your commitment to get things done, regardless of your chosen path.

So don’t sit there and say, “Somebody should really do something about that someday.”  Be that somebody, and make today the day.

2.  Stop neglecting your self-control.

Nobody ever wrote down a plan to be broke, lazy, out of shape, uneducated, etc.  These things happen when you lose your self-control.

Showing a lack of self-control is in the same vein granting authority to others: “Perhaps I need someone else to help control me.”  And if you’re lucky enough tohave good friends and family, they might try.  But the truth is no one is going to look out for you every second.  No one is going to follow you around and say, “Don’t buy that, get off the couch, take a jog, go to the library, etc.”

You, and YOU ALONE, must make the choice between what is right and what is easy in your life.

3.  Stop looking outside yourself.

The problem is that when you think you have to LOOK for things in life like love, meaning, and inspiration, the LOOKING implies that these things are somehow hiding behind some bushes somewhere, just waiting to be discovered.  But that’s not the case.

In life you have to CREATE your own love, define your own meaning, and harbor your own inspiration.  This process starts on the inside, not somewhere else.  Much of this can be accomplished simply by staying true to your values, pursuing your passions, learning more today than you knew yesterday, and helping others smile as you go.

4.  Stop letting negative people drain you.

You might think being alone makes you lonely, but that’s not entirely true.  Being surrounded by the wrong people is the loneliest place in the world.

Before you diagnose yourself as an unhappy person, first be sure that you are not simply surrounded by negative people constantly trying to bring you down to their level.

5.  Stop belittling your efforts and your progress.

Appreciate where you are now and keep fighting for where you want to be tomorrow.  You are not a failure until you give up on yourself.  Keep going!

Hard times may hold you down for awhile but they will not last forever, and when all is said and done, you will be able to stand even taller than those who didn’t earn it.

Seriously, you may not be where you want to be yet, but look how far you’ve come.  Be thankful that you’re not where you used to be.  If you have no other testimony right now, you have this one: “I’m still here trying.”

5 Things to Start Doing

1.  Start living.

Don’t simply exist in this world, grab life’s full potential by the horns and ride it out.  Dare life to be all it can be.  Make it a memorable, gripping account of accomplishment.  Make it a thrilling, challenging, bold adventure.  Make life a passionate, enduring, poetic romance.

Whatever it is you decide to do with your life, LIVE it!  Get going!  Move forward, aim high, plan your takeoff.  Don’t just sit on the runway.  Adjust your attitude and gain some altitude.

2.  Start taking chances that feel right.

Life will try to break you sometimes; nothing and no one can completely protect you from it.  Remaining alone in your comfort zone won’t either, for endless, stagnant solitude will also break you with yearning.

You’re human.  You have to love.  You have to feel.  You have to strive.  You are here to risk your heart by putting it into something you believe in.  If you avoid taking these chances, one thing is certain, you will make is safely to death someday, feeling empty and unfulfilled.

3.  Start indulging in meaningful challenges.

What a true blessing it is that there is always work to be done.  Because the real value of any accomplishment is not in the end result, it is in the process of accomplishment.

Success is a state of mind, and the most reliable way to reach that state is by working mindfully through a meaningful challenge.  Such a challenge might seem somewhat overwhelming when you first encounter it, yet as you progress through it, you transform the work from overwhelming to fulfilling.

4.  Start nurturing your real family.

Family is built with love; it’s not determined by marriage certificates, divorce papers, and formal adoption documents.  Families grow from the heart, through mutual love and respect.  The only time family becomes nullified is when the ties in the heart are cut.  If you cut the ties, these people are not your family.  If you build the ties, these people are your family.  So build ties with the right people and nurture them with love.

5.  Start making time for YOU.
There is objective time meant for focused work, but also subjective time where the pulse of your life breathes – your relationships, your awareness, your hobbies, etc.

So find the time – the time to read, to smell the flowers, to take a walk in the wilderness, to share a laugh, to learn a fun craft, to try a new recipe, to explore somewhere new, to really be with someone you love, to paint your dreams, or even to just do nothing and relax for a while.

Some Tips to Get Your Woman Fall in Love with You

I recently read an article that supposedly told the secrets on how a man can make a woman fall in love with him. Some of the so called secrets, I found silly. Yet, some of them made a little bit of sense.

1. Watch your body language. Okay, I realize that body language does play a big part of the first impression. But the article stated that it played a significant part, fifty five percent to be exact. I don't think I would go that far. Then it went on to advise men to stand with their hands in their pockets, which would cause their chest to puff out a bit. This is suppose to be an attractive male look. I disagree. I think this would make a man look like he was trying desperately to call attention to his chest to look to manly, to masculine.

Yet, I agree you shouldn't stand with your hands folded across your body. To me this projects a guarded attitude, not a good way to start a relationship.

2. Fear can cause an adrenaline rush. Therefore men are suppose to strike up a conversation with women at such adrenaline rushing events such as roller coaster rides, action packed suspense films, etc. Then it went on to say that if women finds a man attractive the extra adrenaline rush can cause us to become more aroused. I don't get aroused when I am scared. I wouldn't even notice a man, if I was really scared. As for striking up a conversation after a roller coaster ride, not a good time for me. I have a weak stomach. I would be too busy trying to make sure I wouldn't up chuck on the guy.

3. Love and laughter can go together. The article advise men to take their dates to comedy movies or to share some jokes. Okay, I do like to laugh, so this one could be a winner.

4. Music makes her heart flutter. Women, do like music. But women likes all types of music. The article said afrobeat was something women didn't like. Not true, many women love this type of music.

5. Gaze into her eyes. This one I really liked. Actually, my husband used to always stare into my eyes, especially when I was talking. It made me feel special, wanted and most importantly I actually felt like he was listening. A big plus for him.

But you watch about overdoing the staring or you will come off looking like a want to be stalker.

The article had some good points and some silly ones. But the main secrets of getting a woman to fall in love with you are simple: Be honest. Be respectful. Be yourself. Listen to us when we talk. Don't fake listening, actually listen. Oh, and we like small touches. A touch to the hand, lightly touching our shoulder as we wait in line together and small, sweet kisses that linger into larger kisses.

Do these few things and who knows what may happen.

Justin Timberlake Documentary: Singer Explains 'The 20/20 Experience' Name And Film

Justin Timberlake is marking his return to the music business with an upcoming documentary about the making of his album, "The 20/20 Experience."
In an interview on monday, Timberlake spoke about the documentary, explaining that the clip of himself in the studio that he teased for his return with "Suit & Tie" was a part of the film. "That little piece of footage is from a documentary that we sort of started working on throughout the making of the album, which started last June," he said. "It's more just a little excerpt from that, which I kinda thought about after I put it out. I was like, 'Oh, if people don't know about the documentary then this kind of seems a little weird.'"
Timberlake also spoke about the reason for the album's title, saying "I was playing some of the stuff for my friends and they would come in and out of the studio, and I would say, 'Hey, what do you think of this?' My best friend said, 'This is music that you can see.' For some reason that stuck with me."
"The 20/20 Experience" is due out March 19.

Kanye West Hits The Stage In Abu Dhabi In Another Crazy Outfit

Kanye West

Kanye West recently performed at a show at the Du Arena in Abu Dhabi. Watch the video and check out his bizzare outfit. Mr West never disappoints.

Yep, that’s a straitjacket he’s wearing. We’re not quite sure what the headgear is all about, but it certainly looks scary.
West donned the outfit for his performance of “Heartless,” removing the hoodlike garment at the end of the song. He gave no explanation for the odd getup.
However, West may be attempting to make a little point with the straitjacket. At the end of December, the Grammy-winning artist treated an Atlantic City audience to a rant in which he declared that he was not crazy, despite what the media may make him out to be. At that same show, he announced his plans to boycott this year’s Grammy Awards.
West is one of the top nominees at the Grammys, which will take place February 10. He received six nods total, including two of his songs in the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories.
