‘Empire’ Ratings Drop: 50 Cent Blames It On Too Much Gay Stuff

50 Cent thinks he knows why “Empire’s” ratings dipped in its second episode of the season — too much “gay stuff.”

In an Instagram post (see below), that has since been deleted, Fifty shared a page called @industryonblast_ that said the Fox show’s ratings fell because of too many celebrity cameos and “gay” plots.

“There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night’s Empire episode!!!! did you watch it?” the post said. “We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!!”

50 Cent chimed in with his own commentary by urging Taraji P. Henson‘s “Empire” character to call him for help.“Empire” attracted a massive 16 million viewers during its premiere last week. But the ratings dipped on Wednesday night to 13.7 million viewers. While those are still huge numbers, 50 Cent has a long-running spat with “Empire” and jumped at the chance to gloat.

The rapper, who in the past has accused the Fox series of copying the promotional campaign of his Starz drama “Power,” mocked “Empire” on Instagram after it took a dig at him in its Season 2 premiere.

During the episode, Cookie Lyon dropped a wisecrack calling 50 Cent “thirsty” — translation, he’s desperate for attention.

The “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” rapper fired back in a video post saying, “I can’t believe Cookie would say some shit like that about me. Thirsty? Me? Thirsty? Come on.”
The Glo ambassadors who just got back from their US tour where welcomed back with these gifts from Glo Nigeria. Peter got a G-Wagon 2015, while Paul got a Range Rover 2015. So excited for them. See more photos below…

I’m Not Here to Inspire Your Children – Female Musician

Zambian singer Kachanana Simate is under immense pressure and criticism from the people of Zambia for stripping down to a bikini to promote her new single Sexy Body.

According to critics, the singer’s picture does not reflect the true character of Zambian culture and as such a disgrace to womanhood, however, the singer believes otherwise.

In a very blunt tete a tete  interview with BBC Africa’s Meluse Kapatamoyo in Lusaka, Kachanana Simate who believes sex sells disclosed she was not perturbed with the insults being hurled at her since her business is to make music and not to serve as an inspiration to young children.
“I think people are now getting to know me as a sexy girl who loves to flaunt it. I’m an artist. I’m not a role model. I’m not an inspiration. I’m not here to inspire your children. You, parents need to inspire your children. My business is music creation.”

Although she admits the picture in bikini sis a bit controversial, she also believes it is just a way of being free and feeling proud in her skin.

“This picture…yes it’s controversial…yes it’s different. People don’t see people proudly showing off their bodies particularly Zambian musicians but I think I look so hot.”

She also believes the heavy backlash is due to the fact that she is a dark-skinned girl.

” I know the negativity is coming from the fact that I am a dark-skinned girl proud enough to put on a bikini and get out there like not a black girl but I’m a dark-skinned girl so I think that negativity also points to the hypocrisy of lot of Zambians”, she said.

Janet Jackson, N.W.A, Chaka Khan Nominated for 2016 Rock Hall of Fame

Janet Jackson, Nine Inch Nails and N.W.A each have a shot to be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. Other nominees include Steve Miller, Deep Purple, Chaka Khan, The Spinners, Chicago, Cheap Trick, Los Lobos, CHIC, The Smiths, Yes, The J.B.’s and The Cars.
Eight of these 15 acts enter the race for the first time but none of them have passed the next stage of eligibility. In order to be eligible for this year’s ballot, the artists and bands must have released their first recording at least 25 years ago. That means, their first single or album was released in 1990 or earlier.
Nine Inch Nails, which made the shortlist last year, is the “youngest” act to be nominated this year. CHIC is the most vintage act in the list after being nominated nine times before and never making it to the next level. No other acts in the hall of fame history have been nominated as many.
N.W.A. had been nominated three times before but has a good shot this year after brought back to fame through film “Straight Outta Compton“. If chosen, Jackson would preserve her family’s tradition of being Hall of Fame inductee. Jackson 5 was inducted in 1997 while her late brother Michael Jackson got the honor in 2001.
Votes are officially open for public to choose the artists or bands deserving to enter “fan’s ballot,” which will be counted. The votes will be tallied with other votes by artists, historians and music industry insiders of the Rock Hall voting body. Voting for the Top 5 performers will be closed on December 9 and the induction will be held in April in New York. Venue and date are expected to be announced later
