Nigerian Artistes Are Now Adequately Compensated Outside Nigeria--Kelvin Luciano

Controversial label boss, Kelvin Luciano of Question Mark Records has disclosed that Nigerian artistes are now being adequately compensated outside the country as against what was obtainable some years back. The heavily-bearded dude stated this today, Friday, September 26, 2013, while speaking as a guest on AIT's breakfast show, 'Kakaaki'.

Kelvin was talking about the music industry and its prospects when he made the declaration.

The former label boss of renowned Nigerian singer, Asa, said Nigerian singers are now being paid well for shows held outside the country, a development he applauds.

He however charged collecting societies in the country to work more on getting royalties from countries outside Nigeria on behalf of the artistes. He said Nigerian songs are played abroad on their radio and television stations, but doubts if artistes get royalties for the use of their creative materials from those countries.
