Matse_UwatseMany may not know this but talented On-air-personality Matse Uwatse Nnoli has been fired from her job as an On-Air-Personality with talk radio station Nigeria Info. In a statement just released she explains the reasons why she may have been sacked.

Dear all, compliments of the day to you.

I believe a lot of you must have heard of the recent termination of my job as an OAP (On Air Personality) on 99.3 Nigeria Info Fm. Well, it is true.

I have read on several blogs that I was sacked for being arrogant, rude etc. Even recently that I lacked discipline. If I lacked discipline, I wouldn’t be successful in my career. I believe discipline, integrity and honesty goes hand in hand with true success. Ask those who have met and known me and they will tell you that this is what I live for. I am not perfect, I have made mistakes but who is perfect?

I prefer to be silent on matters like this but since silence is assumed to be consent, I will not consent to my hard earned reputation being dragged to the gutters. I worked too hard for it.

On the 2nd of September 2013 while on admission at First Consultant Medical Centre, Lagos. I received an email while on my sick bed, announcing my termination. Honestly, I was not angry but a bit shocked. I had been too sick lately due to my pregnancy and was not at my best but I expected my company to be supportive of me. Yes, I wanted them to be supportive of me because I had worked hard over the years to bring them much glory.

I know that I will see all sorts of articles and comments to discredit me but I simply ask this of you all. If you have ever met me and I was unpleasant to you, feel free to vent but If you don’t know the real me and all you have heard are insinuations, hold your peace.

I love people and always wish them well. My mentees and honest colleagues will testify to this.I love progress because I believe the sky is big enough for all the birds to fly. AIM Consultants. I am not mad at you. I believe when one door closes, another one opens. I have served you well over the years, brought you accolades. So please, let me go in peace and insiders in the Organisation who do not like guts should not use it as an opportunity to tear me down. I am a good person and YOU

'Just recently, I opened my boutique in Abuja. I also have a spa and a saloon in the city. I will soon open my Lagos outlet, it is just that Lagos is too choked up for me, but that should not be an excuse. I am definitely working on my Lagos branch. I have loads of customers in Lagos that I bring stuff for more than every other place. However, I love Abuja right now for its serenity.

 

As per movie, during my spare time, I still run to some locations to shoot one or two movies. In fact, I am working on some scripts. I think a lot of people don’t know that there are other things I do aside acting. I do bridal makeup. I am more of a wedding planner. I was very busy during Tuface’s wedding. I was one of the people organizing things and after the whole ceremony; I think I used two days to unwind.

 

I was in charge of Mercy Johnson’s wardrobe during her wedding and I was happy about what I did for her. I did one beautiful wedding a few Saturdays ago and I got like four other jobs from that one. So that’s it. I don’t have to put it on the billboard. I’m not a loud person. I let my work speak for me. A good brand will always remain fresh even if went out of circulation for five years. I don’t believe one needs to do a hundred movies to stay relevant and fresh in the industry. I know some people who have featured in many productions but yet do not have that star status. If you don’t have the star streak, you don’t have it. You can do just a movie in a year and you will be high up there.'

 

Well, its pretty obvious why she does not grace the screen often. In any case, this is a huge achievement for her. More power to your elbow.

No wonder their vacations with Blue Ivy look so luxe! Beyonce and Jay Z earned more than any other celebrity couple this past year; topping Forbes' annual list of highest-earning star pairs, the singer, 32, and the rapper, 43, earned a combined $95 million between June 2012 and June 2013, the magazine reports.

Calling the spouses of five years (and parents to daughter Blue, 20 months) "the savviest businesspeople in entertainment," Forbes cites both Beyonce and Jay Z's still-strong presence in music and concert tours: Jay Z commanded $1.4 million per night for his American tour, while Beyonce's Mrs. Carter Show World tour garners an average $2 million per night. The pair also make bank through other channels: Jay Z represents major athletes in his new Roc Nation Sports agency and he holds a stake in Brooklyn's Barclays Center (though, like his ownership of the Brooklyn Nets, Jay is expect to dump his shares). Beyonce, meanwhile, has a successful fragrance collection, the House of Dereon clothing line and lucrative endorsements with Pepsi and other brands.

Landing in the second spot on Forbes list, with a combined take of $80 million, are Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bundchen; the New England Patriots quarterback and Brazilian supermodel earn staggering paychecks for their day jobs, with impressive endorsements as well.

Britney Spears Pumped Her Pepsi Money Into Coke

Talk about a slap in the face -- after earning $8 MILLION from her infamous Pepsi deal back in 2001, Britney Spears went turncoat by investing in Coca-Cola!

We've obtained new docs in Britney's conservatorship case, which detail her investment portfolio, including her overall gains and losses for the year 2012 -- the most intriguing part is what she dumped into Pepsi's arch enemy.

Britney sold 574 shares of Coke for a modest profit of $3,238.55. She held on to 208 shares. As for Pepsi ... it's nowhere to be found in her portfolio.

Brit sold a few other random stocks for a profit -- including AT&T and Deere & Co. -- but it wasn't all gravy: she lost $640.13 on McDonald's and $1,277.38 on Chipotle.  She eats at both places enough that you'd think the stock would be worth more.

Overall, Brit netted $97,883 last year in stock earnings ... not bad, but for her it's chump change (she'll earn more than triple that PER SHOW in Vegas).

As for her other holdings: Chevron, Microsoft, Phillip Morris, Heinz, Nestle, Amazon, Facebook, Google, Lululemon, and Visa. Nothing too risky.  In all, Brit has just shy of $13 mil of her conservatorship money in the market.
